Short description
Background color of the body is silvery, often each scale on the body has a black spot in the middle. There are two dark stripes on the head, one from the back of the head through the eye and across the cheek to the back of the back of the upper jaw, and one from the back of the head through the gill cover. The pectoral, dorsal and caudal fins are light yellow, the spiny part of the dorsal fin is most yellow towards the edge of the fin. They usually do not have black on the fin edges, although the caudal fin may have a thin black border.
