Scrawled filefish, Broomtail filefish (Aluterus scriptus)

   The body coloration ranges from olive-brown to gray or rusty with blue, sinuous lines and spots. The coloration can change rapidly depending on the background, from gray-olive to almost white. The snout is elongated and noticeably concave. The caudal fin is fairly long and rounded. The first ray of the dorsal fin is thin, located directly above the eye.
