Short description
During the breeding season, females aggressively guard their nests (sand craters up to 70 cm in diameter), attacking any intruders, including divers. The fish often attack from below, defending their cone-shaped nest. If a triggerfish lies on its side and faces a diver, it's a sign of an imminent attack.
