Short description
Body is silvery or golden, fading to white below, with a row of narrow dark red or blackish stripes on the sides, a large distinctive black spot on the anterior dorsal fin that transitions into a wide reddish stripe across the fin, white tips of the spines, black spots on the cheek, and a wide reddish stripe on the gill cover.
