Short description
Adults have a large, bright green head with small spots. The lips are large and blue. The pectoral fins are yellow, and the pelvic, anal, and caudal fins are dark blue. The body is yellow-green, paler than that of the male, without a distinct yellow stripe. Closer to the gill cover is a distinctive bright yellow marking on a black background. The caudal fin is long and fringed. Females have large dark stripes on their sides
