Short description
Females can be either bright yellow or dark brown. Some individuals have an intermediate pattern, with yellow spots, a pale tail, and sometimes black pectoral fins. They have small eyes and a dark stripe running through the eye to the gill cover. The mouth is equipped with highly protractile jaws.
