Short description
The head and forebody are blue. There is a wide black lateral stripe that extends from the base of the pectoral fin. Adults have a fine lattice pattern on the upper back, with a white area in the middle of the posterior edge of the caudal fin. A light line runs along the upper edge of the grayish dorsal fin, the anal and pelvic fins are white, and the pectoral fins are bluish.
