Short description
Mullet is silvery-greenish-olive in colour, paler below, with indistinct narrow stripes along the scale rows, pale yellow pectoral fins and a dark spot at the base of the pectoral fin. It is distinguished by a unique fringe on the upper lip and a pair of rows of papillae on the lower lip.
