Short description
Juvenile Amblyglyphidodon indicus are brightly colored, contrasting with the pale adults. They are yellowish with a neon sheen. Two dark spots may be present along the dorsal fin. With age, the coloration changes to a silvery-greenish, and the scale edges darken. The pelvic and anal fins are yellowish. The dorsal and anal fins have a slight bluish or light edging. The caudal fin is deeply forked, transparent or slightly yellowish.
