Short description
Juvenile Cetoscarus bicolor have a bright and contrasting coloration. The base color of the body is white or pearly white. A wide, bright orange (or yellow-orange) stripe runs across the eye area and gill covers. A large black spot, bordered by a bright orange rim, stands out on the dorsal fin. The caudal fin is a rich orange. Juveniles reach a maximum size of approximately 10 cm. Upon reaching this size, they begin to change color and enter the adult phase.
