Tasseled scorpionfish (Scorpaenopsis oxycephala), excellent disguise

   Adults have numerous tentacles that form a beard around the mouth. The scorpionfish has a mottled and variable pattern of reddish-brown with white spots and often with a darker, triangular area under the eye that extends back across the cheek.
