Short description
The tips of the fins are painted white. A short and wide head, tubular folds of skin next to the nostrils, oval eyes with vertical pupils. This shark can pump water through its gills and lie motionless on the bottom. During the day they prefer to rest on the bottom and hunt at night. They pose some danger to humans, and cases of attacks, mostly provoked by humans, have been recorded.
