Short description
The fish's oval body is covered with small and closely spaced dark brown or black spots on a white background, creating a honeycomb pattern. Fork-shaped caudal fin. The dorsal, anal and pelvic fins of this fish rise with retractable, spiny, poisonous rays. They frequently show a light, whitish to yellowish saddle mark on the caudal peduncle.
