Short description
Body is silvery or yellowish above, silvery on the sides, with two brown or brownish-yellow longitudinal stripes that may disappear in older individuals, the caudal fin is yellowish. The lower jaw has one large fang-like tooth at the apex, followed by a row of smaller sharp teeth on the sides of the jaw.
