Short description
Juveniles of the Daisy parrotfish have a dark, often brownish or almost black body with two or three light (white or yellowish) longitudinal stripes. The dorsal and caudal fins may have a light border. Juveniles of the Onespot damsel have a bright coloration reminiscent of neon fish: a yellowish body, with a contrasting bright blue stripe with two dark spots running along the dorsal fin. The signature single dark spot at the base of the dorsal fin appears with age.
