Short description
This is a large, heavy marine gastropod mollusk with a conical, tower-shaped shell consisting of about 12 flat whorls. Its color ranges from whitish to light brown, with the base often blue-green with mother-of-pearl. A distinctive feature is the large teeth (protrusions) along the periphery of the whorls.
